The 11th Hellenic Conference on Artificial Intelligence (SETN2020) with international participation and organization by Hellenic Society of Artificial Intelligence and the NCSR Demokritos has been completed.

More than three hundred delegates participated online in the conference of Artificial Intelligence (AI) organized for the 11th time by the Hellenic Artificial Intelligence Society (EETN) in collaboration with the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications of NCSR Demokritos and the Departments of Informatics of the Athens University of Economics and Business, Informatics and Telematics, of the Harokopio University and Informatics and Computer Technology of the University of West Attica.

The three-day conference was attended by more than 70 speakers from Greek and foreign Universities and Research Centers along with prominent guest speakers in the field of Artificial Intelligence:

  • Prof. Theodoros Eugeniou, INSEAD, France
  • Prof. Vincent Müller, Technical University of Eindhoven, The Netherlands
  • Prof. Themis Palpanas, University of Paris, France
  • Prof. Yiannis Aloimonos, University of Maryland, USA

At the same time, four workshops for the utilization of Artificial Intelligence in fields such as Fashion, Games, Internet of Things, Natural Sciences and Technology were organized, as well as a special event for issues of Artificial Intelligence connected to Legal Science, which was sponsored by EETN.

The conference was opened by Dr. Konstantinos Spyropoulos, President of EETN and Emeritus Researcher at the Institute of Informatics and Telecommunications of NCSR Demokritos, together with Prof. Vassilios Digalakis, Deputy Minister of Education, Research and Religious Affairs responsible for Higher Education, who also has a keen knowledge and research interest in matters of Technology and Artificial Intelligence.
