National Research Infrastructures

NCSR “Demokritos” operates Large-scale National Research Infrastructures (LNRIs). These are user-accessible facilities. The research groups responsible for running the laboratories assist users, from both the academia and the industry, in performing specially designed experiments in addition to carrying out their own in-house research.  For the years 2018 – 2021 a total of eight million euros will be invested in new instrumentation and skilled personnel. “Demokritos” coordinates three of the twenty-eight LNRIs in the country, selected by the GSRT after a long and exhaustive review process, and is a partner in seven more
