Nikos Boukos

Dr. Nikos Boukos obtained his BSc in Physics (1985) and PhD diploma (1992) from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in Greece. He is Research Director, Head of Electron Microscopy and Nanomaterials Lab of the Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. His research interests include structural and properties study of materials and nanostructures using electron microscopy associated techniques such as scanning and transmission electron microscopy, high resolution transmission electron microscopy and electron energy loss spectroscopy, as well as growth and properties of semiconducting nanostructures with applications in opto- and microelectronics. He has co-authored more than 220 research articles in international peer reviewed journals (h-factor 39) and 80 international conference presentations. He also co-lectures at two Inter-Departmental Post Graduate Programs of the National Technical University in Athens and serves as expert evaluator for national and international research funding bodies.
