Ioannis Zacharopoulos is a Sociologist – Social Researcher, Head of the Data Collection, Standardization and Methodological Tools Development at the National Organization for the Prevention and Treatment of Addictions (E.O.P.A.E.).
He received his Master’s Degree in Bioethics from the University of Crete in 2024, a second Master’s Degree in Sociology and Social Exclusion (MA) from Panteion University in 2008, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from Panteion University of Athens in 2003.
Mr. Zacharopoulos’ research focuses on issues of addiction and public health, professional ethics and health structure evaluation, moral philosophy and bioethics, and has participated as a research coordinator in several qualitative and quantitative methodology studies in the field of addiction, and public health.
In addition, is a regular member of the Academic Council of the University of Western Macedonia and an alternate member of the Academic Councils of Panteion University, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, the University of Ioannina, and the Hellenic Center for Marine Research. while also being a member of the teaching staff registry of the National Centre for Public Administration and Local Government and a member of the Registry of Associates and Experts of the National Documentation Centre (EKT).
