With this initiative distinguished Greek scientists from Greece and abroad visited “Demokritos”, exchanged ideas and initiated research, technology, innovation and entrepreneurship collaborations. During the Forum, important research activity results in the areas of Natural Sciences, Informatics & Telecommunications as well as Biosciences have been presented. At the same time, special emphasis has been placed on the requirement to establish effective collaborations between research groups and the productive sector. This is a strategic choice which will trigger development of the Greek economy promising an entrepreneurial recovery and new job openings. These synergies were the main focus of the lectures on the last day of the Forum, which was dedicated to research and innovation. The speakers shared knowledge and expertise acquired in Greece and abroad and submitted suggestions, so that important research findings and innovative technologies can be used for the benefit of society.
