Successful participation of NCSR “Demokritos” in the pan-European event
“Researchers’ Night” 2012

On Friday, September 28th, 2012, NCSR “Demokritos” participated in the largest yearly pan-European festival of science and research, “Researchers’ night”. The event took place from six o’clock in the evening until late at night at the National Hellenic Research Foundation in Athens. Scientists from “Demokritos” and other large Greek research organizations presented their research projects in young and older participants.

Demokritos’ pavilion captured the attention of the event’s enthusiastic visitors, due to the variety of scientific activities that were presented. Researchers from the fields of biosciences, computer science, environmental radiation and advanced materials, informed the general public and let them experiment with cutting-edge scientific research that will change our future.

The Night concluded with a star party, with live music and observation of Athens’ sky.
