The National Center for Scientific Research "Demokritos" (NCSR "Demokritos") and The University of Texas at Arlington (UT/Arlington) entered into a Memorandum of Understanding
 


The National Center for Scientific Research "Demokritos" (NCSR "Demokritos") and The University of Texas at Arlington (UT/Arlington) entered into an Agreement of Cooperation aimed at establishing collaboration and exchange programs in areas of common interest for mutual benefit.

The purpose of this Agreement is: a) to promote teaching and research activities in Materials Science and Engineering, and b) to give the opportunity to NCSR students of the Institutes of Materials Science, Microelectronics, Physical Chemistry and Biology to participate in research conducted in both institutions and to complete an advanced degree at UT/Arlington through the Department of Materials Science and Engineering in the area of Advanced Materials.

The Agreement will be implemented through participation in educational activities, exchange of students, collaboration in research projects, organization of joint academic and scientific seminars, exchange of research and teaching personnel, participation in common publications and other relevant activities materials of shared interest.

The National Center for Scientific Research (NCSR) "Demokritos" is the largest multidisciplinary research center in the country with substantial scientific research, technological and educational activities in the areas of: Health, Biology and Biotechnology, New Materials Micro & Nanotechnology, Environment - Energy and Sustainable Development, Information Technology & Telecommunications, Nuclear Physics & Elementary Particle Physics, Nuclear Technology & Radiation Protection, Cultural Heritage. All the activities are coordinated by the eight Institutes of the Center: 1) Biology, 2) Materials Science, 3) Microelectronics,4) Computer and Telecommunications, 5) Nuclear Engineering and Radiological, 6) Nuclear Physics, 7) Chemistry, 8) Radioisotopes and Radiopharmaceuticals
