Lecture by the Chief Scientist of Australia, Professor Ian Chubb, on
Research and Innovation
 

An interesting lecture by the Chief Scientist of Australia, Professor Ian Chubb, on «Research and Innovation: pillars for strong economies and societies», was given at the Amphitheatre “Leonidas Zervas” of the National Hellenic Research Foundation, on Thursday 3 April 2104.

The speaker shared his expertise with the Greek audience and focused on Australia’s development model concerning the establishment of a strong research and technology policy that brought wide-ranging benefits to economy and the society.

This event was co-organized by the Australian Embassy in Greece in collaboration with the National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos” and the National Hellenic Research Foundation. Professor Ian Chubb was introduced by H.E. Mrs Jenny Bloomfield, Australian Ambassador to Greece, Dr Vasilis Gregoriou, Director and Chairman of the Board at the National Hellenic Research Foundation, and Dr Nikos Kanellopoulos, Director and President of the Board of the National Center for Scientific Research “Demokritos”.
